Judy Ward's Camp Rescue
In honor of its founder, Judy Ward, who passed away on June 20, 2010, Camp Rescue has been renamed to “Judy Ward's Camp Rescue”.
Camp Rescue is a one day session of presentations designed to educate children in safety and what to do in the event of an emergency. The camp was the idea of Judy Ward who planned and initiated it in 1989 and directed it until 2009. This year, Debbie Holaday organized and directed the Camp. It has been used as a model for camps offered by other squads regionally, statewide, nationally and internationally. Camp Rescue is free to kids ages 9 through 12 and is held in July every other year. Several of our Squad members, past and present, have gotten their start in the medical field at Camp Rescue.
We appreciate all those companies, agencies and individuals who assist with this fun and informative day.
