In an effort to provide the best emergency medical assistance to our community, the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad is attempting to identify those patients within our county whose medical situations require special equipment or services beyond those we ordinarily encounter. It is our hope that advance information will help us arrive at the home of such a patient better prepared to assist in emergency care.
We would like to ask your assistance in helping us gather this information. It is our plan to maintain confidentiality and to share the patient information only with those who need it to help provide better service.
Some examples of these special needs may include, but are not limited to:
* individuals who require some sort of special transport arrangement
* individuals who require special barrier protection
* patients who require special supervision
* patients who have language barriers
* individuals who must be transported along with specialized equipment of their own
* patients who must be transported to a special facility after being stabilized at the closest hospital
